Here at Lakeside Classics we are pleased to offer one of just 281 Jaguar XJ220's presented in Silverstone Green Metallic with contrasting Black Leather Interior.

The XJ220 was first conceived by engineering director Jim Randle and a small group known as the The Saturday Club. They witnessed the launch of the Porsche 959 which was a four-wheel drive supercar prepared for Group B racing. As early as 1984, the small team at Jaguar thought a similarly driven, 4WD Jaguar with V12 power would take Jaguar to the top.

By the time the first customer cars were delivered in 1992, the financial crisis and costs cuts at Jaguar hit hard and the car was scaled back. The V12 was swapped for TWR's developed Garrett T3 Twin-Turbo 3.5L V6, developing 373KW/542bhp which was more than the originally planned V12's 500bhp. Power was then sent only to the rear wheels via the 5 Speed manual gearbox, however the aesthetic design of the car remained the same.

A joint venture between Jaguar and Tom Walkinshaw Racing(after much success in Le Mans 24hr racing with Jaguar) was formed with the aim to build the fastest road car in the world. With a top speed of 217mph, the XJ220 was the fastest production car from its launch through to 1993.

Not only was the XJ220 fast in a straight line but it went straight to the top of the Nurburgring time sheets in 1991, recording a lap of 7:46:36 which was the fastest time recorded for a road car at the time and hardly surprising, considering it was a product of Tom Walkinshaw Racing.

- Replacement of Fuel Bladders (XJ220 Emissions Fuel Tank Kit)
- Sonic Cleaning and Rebuild of 12 Injectors and 4 Fuel Rails
- Replacement of Injector Seals and Injector Filters
- Replacement of Cam Cover Gaskets
- Replacement of Gearbox Sump and Rear Cover Seals.
